We are confronted with necessity for something more than mere newspaper articles against lynching of Negroes in the South. We need to shew that God plainly defended Moses, his prophet when a sister of his attacked him for marrying an Ethiopian woman. This account is to be found in Numbers xii. 1-15; and opens thus: "And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses, be cause of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married :for he had married an Ethiopian woman. And the Lord spake suddenly unto Moses and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out ... And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I, the Lord, will make myself known to him in a vision, and will speak to him in a dream.
