Il s'adresse aux trangers qui veulent acqurir une prononciation correcte de notre langue et ceux des indignes des provinces qui, n'tant pas persuads qu'ils parlent le meilleur franais, dsirent se dbarrasser de leurs accents rgionaux.

Annonc et peu prs entirement compos depuis plusieurs annes dj, ce prcis, bien qu'il ait servi de thme mes leons, n'a pu encore voir le jour, des proccupations plus spcialement scientifiques ne m'ayant pas permis d'y mettre la dernire main. Heureusement, je puis aujourd'hui me dcharger de ce soin sur mon neveu, et rien ne m'oblige plus dsormais conserver lans mes cartons des feuilles que l'on m'a fait l'honneur de rclamer bien souvent.
