They vow that Mignot and that dead unknown walk on dark nights along that path through the clearing. I doubt if any of them have ever ventured near it on a dark night to prove or disprove the spectral tale. Father intends turning the old house into a shed for the young cattle that graze over here. It does look dreary, doesn't it"
